Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you had a well deserved rest over the half term break and were able to spend some much needed time together with your families.
I want to say thank you for the many kind and heartfelt messages I have received since my official appointment as Headteacher of Biggin Hill Primary School - they have been so lovely to read and I am truly grateful. This week I have been spending time with Mr Terry Millar (CEO of Inicio) to develop our strategy on how to push Biggin Hill Primary to be the best we can be and I will be sharing this with you over the coming weeks.
The children have returned to school in great spirits and I am so pleased with how well they have settled back into their learning environment. This was evident from the feedback we received during our Open Days for the new 25/26 cohort, which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
The year 6 children who conducted the school tours were phenomenal and every prospective parent commented on how confident, polite and knowledgeable they are. They are a credit to the school and we are extremely proud of them all.
Special thanks to Laura Tully and Maria Daley who supported the Open days as part of our Governing Body and also to the members of the Friends who were available to answers any questions and man the refreshments!
As the weather has turned much colder please ensure that your child has an appropriate coat in school at all times. Also, a polite reminder please that all hair should be tied back and that any hair accessories should be blue or white in colour.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Lawrence
Headteacher and Safeguarding Lead
