Wednesday

Y5/6 Boys’ Football Team (starting Wednesday 28th September)

12:40 - 13:10

Y5/6 Boys’ Football Team

Open to all boys in years 5 and 6. Training will take place every Wednesday
lunchtime, from 12.40 - 1.10, after the children have eaten.

Training will take place on the school field with Jack, an outside sports coach from
Sporty Stars.

The boys will need to get changed into appropriate clothing and will
need boots/trainers, shin pads, a waterproof jacket and a water bottle.

We hope to arrange matches and tournaments throughout the year with other
schools. In the past, the training sessions have proven to be very popular with a
large number of boys attending, therefore if your child wants to take part in matches
and tournaments they will need to be attending the training sessions regularly and
consistently.

If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to
contact Mrs Sanford, PE Lead via email at: e.sanford@bigginhillps.com.

The Creation Station 'Create Club'

15:30 - 16:30

The club is for Pupils in Year 2 to 6 and will be on a Wednesday.

What is Create Club?
Create Clubs follow a new and exciting curriculum each term. Each week the pupils will explore their own ideas and imagination to produce creative work. This might be using drawing, painting or sculpture and will use a range of materials. There will also be opportunities to develop techniques using colour, pattern, texture, line and shape. The theme for the Autumn Term is Time Travellers and each week we will be ‘travelling’ to a different period of History to be inspired in our creative work.

Club starting: Wednesday 14th September, 2022
Times: 15.30-16.30 in The Hub
Collection: from main reception
(the club will run for 12 weeks (term time only) until the end of term - last session is 14th December)
Cost: 12 week course is £108 per child, and includes all the materials and kit required for the sessions
Booking and payment: via the booking website, using the link below:

Friday

Choir - Years 4, 5 and 6 *Starting on Friday 30th Septmber*

08:00 - 08:45

Choir - Years 4, 5 and 6

Before school on a Friday morning between 8:00 and 8:45am. Choir will start on 30/09/22. It will be held in the Key Stage 1 hall

Our choir has always been very well attended and gives children the opportunity to attend a number of events away from school. In the past we have been invited to sing at The Glades in Bromley, a local retirement community group in Biggin Hill, as well as the switching on of the Christmas lights locally. We also attend a concert as part of the largest school choir hosted by Young Voices. All of these events have proven very popular in the past, so places will be offered to children who attend the choir regularly each week.

If you would like your child to attend, please complete the permission available from main reception and return it to school for the attention of Miss Turner.

For more information, please contact the main office.
