Y2 Loch Ness Class

In literacy we are reading the book "Lights On Cotton Rock". We are using adjectives to describe nouns. We are learning to recognise and use the prefix "un" and the suffixes "ful" and "less". We are learning the rules for adding "es" or "s" to nouns to make plurals.

In maths we are working on place value. We are learning to recognise the value of each digit in a 2-digit number and identify, represent and estimate numbers in different representations. We are lerning to compare and order numbers to 100 using the signs <, > and =.

In science we are learning about living things and their habitats. We will be learning the difference between things which are alive, dead and things which have never been alive. We will be learning about the different living things in our local area and what different animals eat in order to survive.

On Wednesday mornings we are doing RE with Mrs Blackburn and PE with Sporty Stars.
