Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to start by thanking the children and staff that took part in the reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ during the New Life Church Facebook live-streamed event last Saturday. We were so delighted to be asked to take part in this pre-recorded event. Along with the Biggin Hill community, I watched this with my family and was immensely proud of our wonderful children and school. Many staff havecommented on how much this event lifted their spirits!

As I am sure you can imagine, this week has been a challenge for both our staff and families, however, we remain committed to doing the very best for our children. On behalf of Mrs Freeman, Mrs Lawrence and myself, I would like to thank my staff team for the exceptional way they continue to handle the current situation and our families for their wonderful support. It is very clear, we are all working as one to ensure that we provide the children at our school with the very best - thank you.

For children in school, everything is running as normal as possible. For children that are isolating and learning at home, all work has been and will continue to be communicated via your child’s Google Classroom. It is imperative that this is accessed and looked at each day - please note that all class teacher messages will be communicated via this platform. If you are experiencing any problems accessing your child’s account, please email me at j.ellis@bigginhillps.com

We are aware of how difficult the current situation is, however, I would urge any families that feel they need any support to reach out to Mrs Sargeant, our Family Support Worker and Inclusion Assistant. Please email her directly at k.sargeant@bigginhillps.com

Lastly, thanks again for your continued support of both your children and us as a school.

We couldn't do what we are doing without this - thank you!

Have a very restful and safe weekend everyone.

Mr Ellis
