Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for your enormous generosity this morning for our collection for Comic Relief. We have very much enjoyed Red Nose Day today and the sea of red clothing, noses and crazy red hair really was wonderful to see in our whole school assembly today.

I would like to extend a very special ‘thank you’ to Mr and Mrs Downes who took the entire collection of aid for Ukraine to the drop off point in Bromley last Friday morning and also unloaded it at the other end. Thank you also to our other parents who offered logistical help, however, with the amount of donations we received we really did need a large van to transport everything. It was an amazing sight!

This week has been assessment week in Reception, year 1,3,4 and 5. I must say, the children have again conducted themselves so brilliantly and shown such endeavour towards their assessments. On behalf of Mr Devlin and the teaching staff, I would like to say a huge ‘well done’ to all of our children for this week and also to our children in year 6 and 2 who have recently had their practice mock SATs.

Earlier today you would have been sent a letter and link for our parent survey, which we would like to ask you all to complete. The purpose of this important survey is to gain your collective views and feedback to ensure that BHPS can be the very best it can be for both our children and families. The survey should take only a few minutes of your time to complete.

On Wednesday morning I met with our Parent Forum and Class Representative group. It was a very productive second meeting and I very much appreciated the feedback that they were able to bring to the meeting. Please remember, your class representative’s name can be found on your child’s class door and also on the posters in our main reception area - you are welcome to establish contact with them and join up to the class WhatsApp groups.

Next week, Mrs Lawrence and our Inclusion team are running an outreach session. The session, which is being held on 23rd March, 9-10.30am in the key stage 2 hall, will focus on Autism and Sensory Processing - please see the Inclusion article on page 2 for more information.

It really has been a fabulous day at BHPS today!

Have a fabulous weekend.

My very best wishes,

Mrs Freeman
