Dear Parents and Carers,

It was a pleasure to be able to write to you in my official capacity as the new headteacher of Biggin Hill Primary School earlier in the week. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages and words of congratulations; each and every one of them means so much.

After 6 years’ of deputy headship here at Biggin Hill Primary School, I am immensely proud to be headteacher of our wonderful school and very excited to have been chosen to lead the school as we continue our journey towards becoming “outstanding”.

I am sure many of you will have watched the Prime Minister’s briefing on Monday evening. There are no significant changes in the guidance and our safety measures and systems of control will remain in place until further notice. Please see my more detailed letter in relation to this.

Please remember to encourage your child to take part in ‘The Big Ask.’ The website link can be found within this newsletter.

Next week, our year 4 and 5 Bushcraft residential trip will take place. If any parents/carers have any concerns or would like to discuss any details, please do contact myself or Ms Wythers on Monday next week. For our year 4 and 5 children who are not attending, please continue with the usual start / finish times and ensure they are ready for a fun few days at school!

Over the coming months, we will start working on our School Development Plan and will be identifying our key strategic development priorities, which I will share with you in due course.

We are also very sad to announce that Mrs Kimpton-Clark will be leaving us next week to take up a fantastic new work opportunity. Although only here a short time, Mrs Kimpton-Clark has made a significant impact within the school and the administrative team. We wish her and her family well for the future.

We are all very excited for the future of Biggin Hill Primary School; your ongoing and continued support is appreciated and, as always, our door is always open!

Have a fabulous weekend.

My very best wishes,

Mrs Freeman
