Newsletter 24/25 - Issue 15 dated 9th May 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week I had the opportunity to watch Caterpillar’s class assembly. This was their very first assembly and they did a fantastic job showcasing their learning - the children were very impressed with their grown ups attempt to use their tongue when practicing their letter formation! I am incredibly proud of their efforts and the courage they displayed in front of an audience and want to express my thanks to Mr Cosgrave, Mrs Thorpe and Miss Bentley for supporting the children.

Today we have been celebrating VE day. The children have been listening to songs, making hats, flags and bunting as well as writing letters of thanks. It has been a wonderful way for our children to learn about history and honour the significance of this day. Next week we will be able to share some photographs to show you how we celebrated and respected this special occasion.

Just a reminder that Sports Day is on 6th June.  Timings for the day will be confirmed by Mrs Sanford.  However, as in previous years, KS2 will be in the morning and EYFS & KS1 in the afternoon. If you need any new PE uniform for the day please place your order through your child’s Arbor account.

Please join me in wishing our Year 6 cohort a relaxed and restful weekend ahead of their SATS next week - we wish you all the best of luck!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mrs Lawrence

Headteacher and Safeguarding Lead
