Posted: Fri 25th Apr 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to you all after what I hope was a restful and enjoyable Easter break!

This week we have seen the children return with great energy towards their learning and behaviour for learning has been wonderful. A special well done and thank you to Fred class, who undertook Technical Pre-test Maths papers today. These tests are mandatory and they provide valuable information for future SATs papers. Thank you to the Year 6 team who supported Fred class so well today, especially with SATs only around the corner. As well as SATS coming up, we also have the Year 1 Phonics check and the Y4 Multiplication check. If you would like more information about these, please contact your child’s class teacher or Mrs Lucas.

Looking towards to the rest of this short term we have a number of events coming up including the School Council bake sale, ‘It’s Good to be Me’ week and the FRIENDS sponsored bounce.  Next week is set to be a lot brighter as the warmer weather starts creeping in. Please ensure that your child is fully prepared with suncream (applied before school), sun hats and water bottles.

If you have a child in Year 4 or 6 please look out for communication from Miss Elliot regarding final meetings for Bushcraft and PGL for this academic year. Miss Elliott will also be holding a meeting for the current Y5 families regarding next year’s residential trip.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mrs Lawrence

Headteacher and Safeguarding Lead
