Dear Parents and Carers,

This week has been Internet Safety Week and all children have been learning to be good digital citizens. Thanks to the parents/carers that attended our Online Safety Workshops - we hope this helps to increase your understanding of some of the apps and platforms out there. If you do have any questions regarding Internet Safety, please direct these to Mrs Freeman, Deputy Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead.

I am very excited to share that Miss O’Mahony, Wider Curriculum Lead, has been running some History sessions with trainee teachers from Bromley Schools Collegiate. Feedback from these sessions has been fantastic and we are delighted to have been asked to repeat these again for the collegiate next year. Mrs Lawrence, Assistant Headteacher and SENCO, and Mrs Sargeant, Family Liaison and Inclusion Support, presented to a host of Bromley schools on our work with supporting children with autism, particularly Autism Awareness Week. We have received amazing feedback from Bromley Council for our ongoing work and also for sharing this with other schools. I am sure you will agree, both of these initiatives raise the profile of our school within the Bromley Borough and enable us to showcase our provision to a much wider audience.

I am looking forward to welcoming you to parent consultations later today, this evening and tomorrow. Please can I ask all parents/carers to keep to your 10 minute time slot as this helps the day run smoothly. If you are unable to make parent consultations, please do let the relevant class teacher know, so alternative arrangements can be made.

As this half term draws to a close, I would like to thank everyone in our school community and my staff team for supporting the children to be the best they can be. My thanks also goes to the Friends of BHPS for the ‘Dare to be Red’ discos this week. Please do remember that tomorrow is Inset day and we look forward to welcoming families back to school on Monday, 24th February.

Have a wonderful and restful half term break,

James Ellis
