Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you and your families have had a great week. Mrs Lucas and Mr Peart have been giving me daily updates on what has been happening in school and it sounds as though everyone is in the full swing of Christmas!
I want to share with you today that Mrs Herrington (better known to most of you as Miss Whittaker!) is leaving today to pursue a new career within the NHS. Mrs Herrington will be working with different GP surgeries across the Orpington area to coordinate care of patients. Mrs Herrington has been with us at BHPS for 11 years. She has worked across most year groups and has supported some of our most complex children. Her kindness, sense of humor and high aspirations for the children will be sorely missed. I know you will join me is wishing Mrs Herrington luck in her new job and give thanks for her contributions to BHPS over the last 11 years.
On Monday there will be a letter shared with you all regarding communication. We know that this has been difficult over the last term and I thank you all for your patience whilst we have been working with the IT team to get the issues resolved.
I am looking forward to being back at school on Monday 8th following medical leave - please be aware that I am completing a phased return so will not be available before 10am for at least the first week back. I look forward to seing you all!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Lawrence
Headteacher and Safeguarding Lead
