On Tuesday 5R visited the Biggin Hill Memorial Museum. First we visited the chapel and learnt all about the role of Biggin Hill during the Battle of Britain. We then handled some artefacts including helmets, telephones and equipment used for fixing planes. We learnt all about the different jobs at the airfield during WWII including pilots, plotters, ambulance drivers and engineers.
