Y2 Royal Mile Class

In English we are reading "Wolves" by Emily Gravett. We will be exploring the differences between fiction and non-fiction books and using non-fiction books to find information. We will learnt to write facts and explain cause and effect. We will learn how to include features of non-fiction texts in our writing such as sub-headings and learn to organise our writing into paragraphs.

In maths we are finishing our work on shape. This includes describing the properties of 3D shapes, and describing the 2D shapes which we can see on the faces of a 3D shape. We will then be learning about money. We will learn to make specific amounts using different coins and notes. We will learn that you can make a specific amount of money in more than one way and we will explore diffferent ways of doing this. We will learn to add and subtract money and give change.

In science we are learning about different materials. We will then be doing a geography unit all about Kenya. On Wednesday mornings we will be doing RE with Mrs Blackburn and PE with Sporty Stars.
