Our Literacy work this half-term will be based around the book The Unforgotten Coat in addition we will be looking at poetry using the poem Nightmail by W.H. Auden.  In Maths we will be focusing on arithmetic written methods, reading, writing and comparing numbers, place value up to 10 million, rounding whole numbers and decimals and fractions of shapes

In Science our big question is ‘Could Spiderman really exist’ During this topic we will explore classification systems and discover the special attributes that some animals and plants have to help them survive.

In Humanities our big questions are ‘Why Should the World be Ashamed of Slavery?’  During this topic we will learn about what the slave trade was and what it felt like to be a slave.  This will connect with our RE topic of Justice and Freedom where we will examine and compare the concepts of freedom and justice and describe the influence of religious and non-religious world views on the human rights movement.
