Dear Parents and Carers,
I am looking forward to welcoming as many of you as possible this afternoon to ‘Look at my Learning’ at 2.30pm. My thanks must go to Mrs Buchanan for planning and coordinating the Maths activities this week throughout the school - I must say the children have had a brilliant week. It has been fantastic to see the amazing effort and time that has been put into your children’s spectacular Maths hats today - thank you.
Below, Mrs Windover and Mr Devlin have reported on Young Voices. This is such an amazing opportunity and I must thank Ms Gray, Miss Whittaker and Ms Belaon for also accompanying the children to Young Voices last week.

YOUNG VOICES 2020
On Wednesday 22nd January, the choir performed at the O2 Arena. Biggin Hill Primary School has been involved in this Young Voices event for approximately 9 years. Every year is an incredible experience for everyone involved, with most describing it as ‘the best day of their life’!
Children from years 4, 5 and 6 have been rehearsing since September, learning twelve songs. The music varied from Western musicals, a Disney mash-up, Beethoven, a song sung in Swahili and a Queen medley, to name a few. Asked to pick a favourite, I’m not sure the choir could agree as there are too many! The day began with an afternoon rehearsal, followed by an evening concert, performing with over 8,000 other children to friends and family. The choir were not only performing to thousands of people, but also were mesmerised by ‘Urban Strides’ a street dancing group, Ruti who won the 7th series of The Voice and the unmistakable Tony Hadley. It really was a magical evening!
The choir will continue to rehearse on Thursday lunchtimes, preparing for their next concert. If anyone from Years 4, 5 or 6 would like to join the choir, they are more than welcome, just see Mrs Windover or Mr Devlin.
