Home Learning Provision for children self isolating
Biggin Hill Primary School ensures that our provision for children whilst isolating at home is of a very high standard and quality. For a child in any year group that is required to isolate or a situation where a larger cohort may need to isolate, we are committed to providing the best possible experience for all of our learners that considers their well being needs as well as their academic ones.
If children are isolating and well enough to continue to engage with learning, we will be using our Google Suite to deliver learning materials and virtual lessons via Google Meet. Learning activities and supporting materials will be set via Google Classrooms should the need arise.
Support for all our families:
- A member of SLT will always be available to speak to - please just telephone the office and leave a message or email us directly.
- The support of our Family Support Worker and Inclusion Assistant, if required.
- Families where children do not have provision to access the Google Classroom (for children who have been forced to isolate and therefore are learning at home) will be invited to let us know so we can assist where required.
We aim to keep parents / carers updated and informed about everything that is happening in school via our normal school communications, weekly newsletter and, from time to time, our inclusion, curriculum and safeguarding bulletins.
We are here for all our families and children and have a dedicated Family Support Worker and Inclusion Assistant who can offer support, guidance and advice on inclusion and wellbeing matters. A member of the Senior Leadership Team will always be available to speak to - just let us know if you need anything!
We continue to strive to make our provision for all learners the very best it can be!
If you would like any more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
