It has been an exciting week as phase one of our playground improvements have been completed—the children are already really enjoying playing on them! Many thanks to the Friends who have funded these improvements to the playground.
You will notice on the diary that there will be mock SATs for Years 2 and 6 in the next few weeks as well as a mock phonics screening for Year 1. These are nothing to worry about—they just help to make sure that the children know what to expect when the real things happen in May and June and also allow teachers to analyse and teach to any gaps in knowledge.
Many thanks for the Biggin Hill Way posters that have been received and apologies for the fact the parent mail about this did not send for some reason! Many thanks to those of you who came and asked or who carried on regardless!
As you will see, we are very excited about the Biodome installation that will start next week—watch this space! Congratulations to Darling Class who won the attendance award this week with 99.1%.
