Dear parents and carers,

It’s been a lovely week this week, which ended with a fabulous non-uniform day. Well done to Tayla and Tom for organising this and thank you to parents and carers for your generosity in supporting this event. We are looking forward to the cake sale after school today.

The Art Exhibition was a great success, thank you for coming along to view all of the children’s fantastic art work—we hope you enjoyed this event. A big thank you once again to Mrs Gilham and Mrs Clark who organised the whole thing.

Exciting news now—Lucy Vowles (Y6) has been selected to take part in the Junior Bake Off TV series. Lucy made it on to the final shortlist of 40 out of 4000 other children!  She will be filming the series in the summer and the programme will be aired in the   autumn—watch out Mary Berry! Congratulations Lucy—we are very proud of you!

“We‘re all going to the zoo on Thursday, zoo on Thursday, zoo on Thursday….” we are really looking forward to our whole school trip and would like to say a huge thank you to the Friends for funding the transport!  Make sure you remember to wear school  uniform, bring a packed lunch, water bottle and hat and apply sun cream in the morning.

Lake Placid’s assembly was fabulous yesterday—well done children!

Congratulations to Royal Mile who have the highest attendance this week.

Have a lovely weekend  and we look forward to seeing you at the start of next week for parent conferences.

James Ellis
